CONTENT is available.. in 1983!!

Like a cat halfway out the door our CONTENT album wags its tail and sniffs the breeze with brisky whiskers. CDs for sale now, direct from BCR International Hindquarters! Hella limited edition. Preview tracks listenable as of…… NOW! And one of them is an actual, functioning time machine.

A Return To Pods

From the title I am reminded of Derek Smalls, attempting to reenter his stage-pod in Spın̈al Tap, but nay!  This is just me, A. Berkeley Cat (close associate of Eton Hogg) returning to the Berkeley Cat Records PodCATS.

Let’s try that again.  Hi!  After finishing my  CONTENT album recently, I felt inspired yesterday morning to make Pods, Cats, Hats, and Mats, a new PodCATS episode in which among other items I am confronted by Artificial Ignorance bots demanding music made by hoomans.  Acknowledgment to Jacque Lacey AKA Uncle Fun who minted the term, long before FaceCoin or BitFace and whole periods of Picasso excreted by compooters, and what is more, Uncle Fun didn’t resign to go on a media tour saying “whoopsie.”

It all makes sense. It’s important. I read it on a thing somewhere.

Hot Off The Presses!

Wait a minute.. there’s no presses..

BUT!  There is a new single from Eric Din called MisinformedThe lead off track from Din’s upcoming album, it sets the stage for the rest of the CONTENT.  It all makes sense. It’s important. We read it on a thing somewhere.  Please share this content with your cats and hoomans. Thanks!

Berkeley Cat Holiday CD Bundle!

Incredibly, Berkeley Cat Records has made two actual CDs. Against all reason, we made nice physical packages with beautiful artwork for Russ Ellis’ Songs From The Garden and Eric Din’s Street Party.

For a wee limited time, you can order ’em BOTH for the amazing price of $18, all-in including shipping in the US. (For international shipping we’ll have to charge a wee bit, send a note with your order and we’ll work it out)
For added fun, you’ll also get access to these albums on Bandcamp so you may listen to them wherever you may roam, and we know, cats do roam.

Read about Russ Ellis and his album in the New York Times or check out his fab interview on KQED. Read about Eric Din and his album on Brooklyn Vegan. View some photos of these fab items below. Order the Berkeley Cat Records Holiday CD Bundle with this convenient space age button:

Watch as Shannon Wheeler draws the cover art for The Cow Song by Eric Din!

Here we find Shannon Wheeler in his studio, creating cover artwork for The Cow Song. Mr. Wheeler and I have collaborated on quite a number of pieces over the years, including my recent album, Street Party. In this, our worlds collide, with his Too Much Coffee Man cup adorning the noggin of our hero the director’s chair cow (what!?) I swear, Petunia. Too Much Coffee Cow, we will affectionately call her. You may purchase this song from our beloved Bandcamp to keep it with you when teh Inertnet dies! Or stream it in the Grand Temporary Blip of our awareness. Either way we thank you for your moment of attention, in the vast seas of CONTENT in which we bleat 🐑🐄😽

The Cow Song

A surprise single from Eric Din. In that we are Eric Din, and we are surprised! Hope you enjoy. And always love the animals.

Everyone always says that cows are stupid
Eat grass in the valley all day there, lookin’ stupid
They’re really only good for one thing
We all know just why they’re here
But I still don’t understand
Cos everyone knows his soul is bound for heaven
And everyone knows his rump will soon be roasted
But nobody knows why they said that the cow was stupid
Stupid cow, if you’re a stupid cow
You’re not half as stupid as me
Someday, maybe your luck might turn around

Everyone always says that the sheep will follow
And everyone knows the wolves won’t stop to think, (or even blink)
But nobody knows why they said that the sheep would follow
Blind sheep, if you’re a blind sheep
You’re not half as blind as me
Someday, maybe your luck might turn around

Acoustic guitar and vocals: Eric Din
Recorded and mixed by Michael Rosen at East Bay Recorders
Produced by Eric Din for Berkeley Cat Records
